The most listened to ,despite possible parental repercussions, radio stations ever were probably the pirate stations (London and Caroline) which also had the most popular DJs of their time which were later poached by the BBC and LWT. Radio Luxembourg was avidly listened to at night by virtually every teenager in Britain that had access to a transistor radio. Radio London has recently reinvented itself and for the first time in 20 years i am now listening regularly to the radio again and so the format they use must be timeless. Shortly put, no. I drive a VW Jetta with the Bose system. YOu absolutley need to get that code, or go to the dealership. (If you enter the code wrong three times in a row, you can't retry for six hours... be cautious)
Surveys - for TV, they're called Nielsson's ratings, not sure how radio does it. No return messages without an extra box on the set.
Using a directional antenna such as a loop or a beam antenna (Yagi or log periodic) rotate the antenna and note in what direction the signal peaks. If this is done from two positions (triangulation) then the transmitter is at the intersection of the two bearings as drawn on a chart.
omg. i got a satellite radio and i love it. i got the silhouette 2 from sirius and i love it. it's also portable! it cost about $325.00 plus you want to have it professionally installed. you get all different types of music comercial free. it's about $13.00 a month for subscription. i love mine! also, you keep your regular radio. that's what it comes through. so if you want to listen local you can.
Your radio will be fine with the wireless fm signal that comes from sirius units but nobody gets good sound from using that. Definitely buy the optional RF Modulator to get a direct line into your radio for the true digital sound. Its only like $30 but sounds 100 times better. And if you're talking about your sirius antenna on your windshield it will sound perfect, thats where mine was on my grand am.
Satellite radio requires a monthly subscription fee. There are two competing formats , Sirius and another one. HD radio is over-the-air free digital radio. You get local stations. So, satellite has more channels, but you pay for it.
Radios pick up all frequencies at once. It is the tuner that restricts what frequency is allowed to pass through. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.montek.com/cart/files/detail_images/d_15.jpgimgrefurl=http://www.montek.com/cart/catalog/FM-Radio-Tuner-88-108MHz-p-27090.htmlh=480w=640sz=42hl=enstart=8tbnid=qs5dyyHjkH9HmM:tbnh=103tbnw=137prev=/images%3Fq%3Dradio%2Btuner%26gbv%3D2%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DG
It is possible that there is a tuning capacitor at the back of your radio that needs to be adjusted to match the antenna to the radio input circuitry. If this match is not done, you may be picking up signals that are spurious. Check either your car's manual or the instruction book that came with your radio to find out if there is a tuning control like this on your set.
The official number to save internet radio is 42.
You might try first to see if the have a live broadcast on their Internet website. At least that way you can listen in the house and at work. After that, the only way to get it in your car is if your old station has a satellite link-up with one of the services. Very few do though right now. You just can't push a FM signal that kind of distance from North to South California unfortunately.
sure it is....use this http://www.tunetrackersystems.com/ TuneTracker Pro
There is a vertical slot on each side of the radio where it meets the dash. Special tools that fit in those slots are required to release the springs that hold the radio in. If you can find some metal pieces about the right width and length, you might be able to get away without buying the tools. Basically you push the tools in at the same time and you should feel a click of the springs releasing then you can pull the radio out.

NPR has the ETON, which has the neat hand crank to operate feature. No HD but not needed as HD by regulation must replicate the main analog channel. The spring membership drive is coming up in March, many NPR affiliates offer it as a pledge thank you gift. I just sent my membership renewal in. Or try the NPR shop at NPR.org
Definitely not. CB channels are between 26.965 MHz (channel 1) and 27.405 MHz (channel 40). The majority of two-way communication radios use frequencies between 460 MHz and 470 MHz.
Alex Jones, and Coast 2 Coast AM with George Noorey are awesome Radio Shows. But I couldn't suggest a frequency because I listen to them ONLINE. ( through winamp) www.winamp.com
