Colbie Caillat got famous off MySpace and is now a popular singer. Apart from her, bands like Panic! At The Disco became more famous with the help of those websites. Marie Digby got famous as she posted a video of herself singing Rihanna's song Umbrella.

If you're looking for artists similar to Pendulum I would check out Sub Focus (X-Ray, Timewarp, Frozen Solid are good starters),Noisia (Facade, Diplodocus, and Meditation are good ones), and DJ Fresh (Nervous, Exhale, and Floodlight)... it tends to b more clubs then bands which have people who hand out fliers. If your in a band and looking for people to advertis for you then you can advertise for workers on myspace or if you're looking to hand out fliers then you can go to your local clubs and see which ones are looking for workers :)

I'm very forgiving of others musical tastes, but Soulja Boy (Crank That) is horrible by all standards. It's not music.

CD's, Merchandise and Shirts. They get about 20% of it. They don't get full profit from it (Signed bands) but they get publicity.

It honestly depends on the age of the children.. I would most certainly rule out Marilyn Manson though no matter the age ..
